LAD Studio, Lab for Architecture and Design is a creative multidisciplinary boutique practice undertaking Architecture, Interior design, landscaping, Urban Design and Heritage Conservation.
Headed by Bharti Sikri and Chander Kaushik, the firm is a budding name in the design industry known for creating bespoke designs that are thoughtful and timeless. Since its establishment in 2019, the studio has taken on a multiple scale of projects including boutique residences, luxury interiors, commercial and hospitality projects.
LAD Studio’s design approach emphasizes that architecture has a unique power to influence society and its lifestyle. Therefore, it is mandatory for design to connect with its users and context with an underlining thought of making optimum use of spaces, ensuring use of natural materials, lighting & landscape to reinvent living environments for humans. Bharti Sikri is an Architect with specialization in Architectural heritage Conservation from School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
Her focus on protection of cultural landscapes and urban conservation brings in sustainable dimensions into design projects at the studio.
Bharti continues her design inquiries by undertaking research projects and focusing on adaptive reuse of built heritage sites.
An avid traveler brings in new perspective that is reflected in her creativity while designing of interiors for boutique residences.
Chander Kaushik is an Architect with specialization in Urban Design from CEPT, Ahmedabad.
His interests in designing public oriented spaces; urban design strategies; participatory design processes and place-making skills in Indian Cities; adds depth to the practice.
He keenly focuses on experimenting new ideas with innovative technology making every design process unique and a learning for future.
His lifelong passion for theatre and in pottery percolates an eye for smallest details in every design project.
